Calf feed
Calf feeding pursues several goals at the same time: It should enable the young cattle to grow quickly and evenly and contribute to the best possible rumen development and thus to optimal basic feed intake. This lays the foundation for the later development of the full performance potential of your animals.
No matter which feeding concept you use on your farm: In our range you will find the right feed to supplement the milk or milk replacer drinkers as well as the follow-up feed for your calves. With our mueslis, dry TMRs and concentrates for calves, you too can achieve your feeding goals.
Buy calf feed
You would like to buy calf feed? You can purchase the cattle feeds of our deukalac, Clubkraft and Nordkraft brands either via the agricultural trade or order them directly online in our partner portal DEU●PA.
Our feed
The concept
The very tasty muesli feeds are the ideal feed to get your calves used to solid food. Early use promotes natural rumen development and thus facilitates the transition of your animals in the weaning phase.

Defined maize share
Since starch is degraded to propionic acid in the rumen, which lowers the pH value in the rumen, the risk of rumen acidosis increases with the starch concentration in the ration. Starch from grain maize and maize by-products, on the other hand, is partly slowly degraded in the rumen and partly only in the small intestine. This makes it an energy supplier of high quality and at the same time gentle on the rumen. Especially in rations with a high content of rumen-degradable carbohydrates (use of maize silage, high-sugar grass silage and/or supplementation of cereals), this only slowly released energy source is a useful supplement.
opticon® UDP 33
The feeds contain opticon® UDP 33, which is rapeseed extraction meal refined by treatment with our patented opticon® pressure hydrothermal process. Corresponding feeds have a high proportion of rumen-stable protein (UDP), excellent palatability and improved crude fibre digestibility as well as good small intestinal digestibility of the protein and the amino acids it contains. Since rapeseed meal contains above-average amounts of methionine and since methionine is the first limiting amino acid for the cow, opticon® UDP 33 is an excellent, indispensable feed for high-performance cows.
optigrain®
optigrain® is a cereal mixture made from wheat, maize and barley that has been refined by treatment with the patented, pressure-hydrothermal opticon® process. The treatment breaks down the structure of the starch in the grain. This results in increased overall digestibility, especially for young animals. Furthermore, feeds containing optigrain® have an excellent palatability due to the natural sweetness and the resulting roasted aromas and thus improve the overall feed intake.
Defined cutlet content
The feeds contain a clearly defined chipping fraction. This raw fibre fraction is subject to a moderate rate of degradation in the rumen and thus provides rumen-friendly energy. At the same time, they reduce the risk of acidosis. Especially in rations with a high content of rumen-degradable carbohydrates (when using maize silage, high-sugar grass silage and/or supplementing cereals), this slowly releasing energy source forms a sensible supplement.
The concept
Our range includes ready-mixed dry TMRs for your calves. This is a complete package for supplying your calves with concentrate and coarse feed in addition to milk or milk replacer feed and after weaning. This combination promotes the early and good development of your calves into ruminants.

The concept
Our calf concentrate feeds serve to provide your calves with an optimal supply of nutrients in combination with milk or milk replacer drinkers and hay, as well as after weaning with the farm's own basic feeds. Early use promotes the rapid and pronounced development of the rumen and rumen villi of your animals. Our calf concentrate is also ideally suited for mixing a farm-made calf dry DMR.
