Hay cobs

Ideal hay supplement or hay substitute

  • deukavallo hay cobs is our roughage supplement from Bavaria's magnificent meadows.
  • It is ideally suited as a basic feed supplement - without the addition of molasses.
  • For senior horses or horses with dental problems it is an optimal basic feed alternative.
  • It has excellent dissolving properties in warm as well as in cold water.

For feeding with chewing problems

Feeding older horses has its pitfalls. For example, in the case of age-related chewing problems (recognisable by the formation of rolls when taking in hay), hay cobs are usually the only way to provide old horses with sufficient basic feed. It is important to always soak the hay cobs completely.

Targeted upgrading of the daily ration

The supplementary feed is used for the quick, simple and flexible upgrading of high-quality basic rations. An adjustment of the feeding is especially necessary and useful for horses with seasonally changing activities or if the daily supply of basic feed is too scarce. 1 kg deukavallo hay cobs provide the same amount of nutrients as 1 kg hay.

Free from molasses

Due to its molasses-free recipe, the feed only contains its native sugar content. This makes it suitable for a sugar-reduced horse feed

Rich in crude fibre - against stomach complaints

The feed contains a lot of digestible raw fibre. Especially for horses with stomach problems, the fibre serves as an additional supplement to the hay. The feed can also be optimally combined with other feeds that support the stomach (e.g. deukavallo Leinvital).

Feeding recommendation

As a hay substitute: 1.0-1.5 kg/100 kg target body weight.

To supplement the basic feed: Adjust according to the amount of basic feed available. 1.0 kg deukavallo hay cobs correspond to 1.0 kg hay.

We recommend soaking deukavallo hay cobs per kilogram with at least 2.5 to 5.0 litres of water and feeding as a porridge. Soak until all hay cobs are dissolved.
