Breeding muesli

Protein-rich muesli for broodmares, foals and stallions

  • deukavallo Zuchtmüsli is a high-protein muesli feed for foals, broodmares and as a supplement for stallions in breeding.
  • Its high-quality nutrient orientation serves to optimise the breeding condition.
  • Valuable proteins promote a high milk production in mares.
  • In addition, the special mineralisation supports the healthy development of your foals.
  • The high palatability encourages early feed intake of the foals.

Safe care in high gestation

From the 8th month of pregnancy, the foal grows particularly rapidly in the womb of the mother. From the beginning of pregnancy, the mare's nutritional requirements also increase noticeably. The nutrient-dense recipe of our feed ensures the supply of both mare and foal.

Promotes milk production

The high protein and mineral content promotes milk production in broodmares during lactation. The increased amount of vital breast milk thus completely ensures the supply of foals. This means that nothing stands in the way of a natural, species-appropriate development.

For the rearing feeding of foals

Foals grow particularly fast in the first year of life. Especially now, the nutrient demand is correspondingly high. Feeding the nutrient-dense and tasty feed ensures feed intake and lays the foundation for rapid growth.

For optimal breeding condition

With the right condition of mare and stallion, the chances of a successful pregnancy increase. With high-quality protein sources, the feed contributes to an optimal weight of the horses and improves the quality of the semen.

Feeding recommendation

Feeding the broodmare:

0,80-1,10 0,80-0,60 approx. 0,50

Feeding of the stallion*:

During mating, the requirement corresponds approximately to a mare in the 8th month of pregnancy. If necessary, compensate for energy deficits with oats. The requirement of stallions outside the breeding season is based on the respective work performance.

*Considered amount of roughage per day: approx. 1.5 kg hay per 100 kg body weight. Depending on the quality of the roughage, temperament, physical condition and feed conversion, it may be advisable to adjust the feed quantities. In case of low dosage, we recommend the addition of a mineral feed. Divide the total daily amount over several meals. Always offer fresh drinking water.
**Increase the indicated feed quantity for the 1st 2nd lactation month (lactation peak) step by step after birth. Until weaning, gradually phase out the amount of deukavallo Breeding Muesli and reduce the amount of crèche feed to the maintenance requirement.

Recommended amount of roughage per day: at least 1.0 - 1.5 kg hay/ 100 kg body weight

Feeding of the foal:

Recommended crèche feed quantity per animal and day in addition to mare's milk, hay and pasture*:

2-3 months

4-6 months 7-12 months

* For a warm-blooded foal with a final weight of 550-600 kg (ponies and small horses correspondingly less). Depending on the grass growth and grazing duration, reduce the amount of cot feed.
