For Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer, too, the show with the associated trade exhibition on cattle feeding and breeding on 10 and 11 March was a great success. Judge Manfred Uhrig surprised the guests in the well-attended Ostfrieslandhalle with a unique decision.
The 40th Excellent Show in Leer offered its visitors a varied programme again this year. For Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer, too, the show with the associated trade exhibition on cattle feeding and breeding on 10 and 11 March was a great success.
Well-attended trade exhibition
The exhibition was again a crowd puller. The joint stand of our brands deuka and Nordkraft, which we operated together with the Gesellschaft für Tierernährung (Society for Animal Nutrition ), was also very busy. Farmers discussed questions about optimal calf and dairy cattle feeding with our expert advisors on site. In addition, the wetness of the last few weeks, the scarce basic feed situation and the continuing plague of mice were among the topics that occupied the cattle farmers in Leer.
Red-breasted becomes Miss East Frisia for the first time
Judge Manfred Uhrig surprised the guests in the well-attended Ostfrieslandhalle with a unique decision: For the first time in the history of the event, which already took place for the fortieth time, adjudicator Manfred Uhrig chose a redbunny as the most beautiful cow of East Frisia. Manita prevailed against 120 mostly black-and-white competitors.
The 40th Excellent Show was organised by the Verein Ostfriesischer Stammviehzüchter (VOST), a cattle breeding and marketing cooperative in the regions of East Frisia, Friesland and Ammerland. The VOST is the oldest existing breeding association in Germany.
