25.01.2020 – Holstein show, offspring and top genetics auction all in one: That's the Schwarzbunt Days in Osnabrück. One of the main points of contact for dairy cattle feeding questions was our joint deuka and Gelamin stand.

2020 was the 44th anniversary of the Schwarzbunt Days in Osnabrück. On 25 January, farmers presented their show cows from the Osnabrück breeding area in the Gartlage Hall. The judges awarded prizes to animals in the classes young (first-calf cows), medium (second-calf cows) and old (third-calf cows and later).

The judges mainly awarded cows with a lot of development potential, which due to their conformation could be expected to produce good milk yields with a good constitution. The winners of the medium class, jointly sponsored by Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer and the Society for Animal Nutrition, received the winner's cheque from our staff in a festive ceremony.

A progeny show and auction of animals with first-class genetics rounded off the Schwarzbunt Days in Osnabrück.

Crowd at the joint stand in a top location

At our joint stand, interested farmers found information on the feeds of our deuka brands as well as on the mineral feeds of the Gelamin brand of the German Society for Animal Nutrition.

Located above the stands, visitors enjoyed an excellent view of the exhibition and shows. At lofty heights, farmers and our feeding advisors found time for intensive, technical discussions. The cattle farmers were particularly interested in one question: How should feeding concepts be designed so that their dairy cattle produce high performance with exemplary health into old age?
