Miguel Diaz Martinez, Managing Director of deuka Tiernahrung Cremer, will in future sit on the Executive Committee of the German Pet Food Association (Deutscher Verband Tiernahrung e. V.). He was elected to the committee during the 26th DVT Annual Conference. Together with Bernd Schnmitz, President (Agravis), Carolin Braun-Majer (DEWA-Kraftfutterwerk) and Lukas Middendorf (MIAVIT), Miguel Diaz Martinez forms part of the newly constituted Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee guides the association’s strategic direction, assesses key developments in the animal feed industry and supports the representation of its interests vis-à-vis politicians, authorities and other organisations. Together with the Board of Directors, it aims to ensure clear lines of responsibility and faster decision-making processes.

The DVT’s new management structure sets out clear responsibilities for the Presidium and the Executive Board. The aim is to streamline decision-making processes and to represent the organisation’s interests more effectively in dealings with politicians, public authorities and other associations – both in Germany and at European level.
A practical perspective on the animal feed industry
Miguel Diaz Martinez brings deuka’s many years of experience and expertise as a manufacturer of compound and mineral feeds for farm animals, pets and companion animals to the association’s work. Key areas of focus include quality and feed safety, raw material supply, economic efficiency, sustainability and practicable regulatory requirements.
Furthermore, his role on the executive committee strengthens the exchange between deuka and other companies in the sector. Common challenges can be identified at an early stage and clearly articulated to political and societal decision-makers.

The German Pet Food Association (DVT) is an independent trade association. It represents the interests of companies that manufacture, store or trade in animal feed, premixes and additives for farm animals and pets. The DVT engages in dialogue with politicians, public authorities, the scientific community and other associations. It brings together the concerns of its member companies and contributes the technical perspective of the animal feed industry to political, legal and societal discussions.
