Acquisition of a compound feed plant in Edderitz
deuka expands its production capacity
14.09.2026 – Düsseldorf – deuka Tiernahrung Cremer is set to take over a compound feed plant in Edderitz, Saxony-Anhalt, in mid-September. The new site will produce feed for pets and farm animals. Production is set to begin in October. With this takeover, deuka is expanding its production capacity and strengthening its existing production and distribution structures in eastern Germany. “The site in Edderitz is the perfect complement to our existing production and distribution structures,” says Jeroen van Klinken, Managing Director of deuka Tiernahrung Cremer. “With this additional production capacity, we can manufacture our animal feed closer to our sales markets, respond more flexibly to customer requirementsand capitalise on synergies in production, storage and distribution between our sites.”
New production capacity for bagged products and livestock feed
The Edderitz site is creating additional capacity for the production of bagged products for pets and farm animals. In addition, various types of bulk animal feed are to be produced there. The separate mixing and pressing lines enable flexible production planning and lay the foundations for the production of GMO-free animal feed.
The new site complements deuka’s existing production network. The additional capacity is intended to help coordinate production, storage and distribution structures even more effectively. Certification in accordance with standard quality assurance systems is carried out in the same way as at other deuka Tiernahrung Cremer sites.
