Apple pomace

By-product of juice extraction from various apple varieties for human nutrition by pressing. Due to its high content of hemicelluloses, celluloses and pectins, apple pomace is an energy-richsingle feedstuff of very good acceptance for ruminants, as this animal species converts the aforementioned non-starch polysaccharides in the rumen via the rumen microbes very well for energy. In addition to these nutrients, apple pomace contains approx. 20 %crude fibre and approx. five % crude protein.
