Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer builds up core competence in inbound and outbound logistics. The company's supply chain management with the interfaces of purchasing, production and sales will be managed centrally in the future. Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer appoints Daniel Stjern as head of the division. The logistics expert will fill the position of Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) at the Düsseldorf-based company from July 1, 2021.

"I am extremely pleased that with Daniel Stjern we have been able to attract such an experienced and well-connected specialist for this important task," comments Miguel Diaz Martinez, Managing Director (Purchasing / Supply Chain Management Division) at Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer on the appointment. "We have already been working together excellently for many years through König Transportgesellschaft mbH, where Daniel Stjern is the managing director. With his expertise, he is just the right person to strategically build up the core competence of logistics in our company."

Strengthening and developing the core competence of logistics

Increasingly digitalized planning, organization and control of all flows of goods will be the task of logistics managed by Stjern. The initial focus will be on supplying the production sites. However, Stjern will also continue to develop the offer via franko logistics for its retail partners. "I am already looking forward to my diverse and challenging tasks at Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer," explains Stjern. "I am sure that I will be able to profitably contribute my know-how to the further development of all processes - not least of which will benefit customers* in the retail and agricultural sectors." Stjern reports directly to the management board.

Experienced expert in logistics and forwarding industry

Stjern looks back on 17 years of experience in the forwarding and logistics industry. Even before taking over the management duties at Germany's largest compound feed producer, the 38-year-old held important management positions. The qualified forwarding merchant moves from Hauptgenossenschaft Nord AG (HaGe Kiel), where he held the post of division manager for transport logistics and preceded as managing director of HaGe Logistik GmbH. Since 2012, Stjern has also been managing director of König Transportgesellschaft mbH, which specializes in silo and feed logistics and is based in Könnern (Saxony-Anhalt), with Hauptgenossenschaft Nord AG and Deutsche Tiernahrung Cremer as shareholders. Stjern will remain with König as managing director after his move to the Rhine.
