Training, dialogue and inspiration: we brought together selected turkey fatteners from Poland and the Czech Republic at our exclusive training and networking event at Kliczków Castle. Expert presentations, discussions and a varied supporting programme provided valuable impetus for practical application. This underlines our commitment to knowledge transfer and partnership-based cooperation across borders. Find out more..

Special ambience as a meeting place

On 26 and 27 September 2025, the historic Kliczków Castle (Silesia, Poland) was transformed into a meeting place for knowledge and exchange. Almost 50 VIP customers from Poland and the Czech Republic travelled here to spend two days learning, discussing and making new contacts in a special atmosphere. But it was already clear over lunch that this was not just about specialised topics, but also about the feeling of being part of a strong community.

Expertise meets practical relevance

The conference programme offered a wide range of topics: one focus was on integrated poultry farming in Germany and Poland - with a comparison of the structures and challenges in both countries. The role of feed and futures contracts, which are crucial for planning security and quality assurance in animal husbandry, was also highlighted. The presentations were practically orientated and offered concrete points of reference for the everyday life of turkey farmers.

Focus on animal health

The article on Clostridium perfringens. The bacterium, which can occur in the intestines of poultry, is considered a "silent killer" as it causes serious intestinal diseases that are often only recognised late. The presentation showed how important prevention, hygiene and targeted feeding strategies are to ensure animal health and performance in the long term.

Modern feeding concepts

Another highlight was the presentation of current feeding programmes for turkeys. This centred on the use of functional additives that not only improve the supply of nutrients, but also strengthen the animals' resistance. The participants were given an insight into the latest developments in feed production at our site in Herzberg (Brandenburg) - an example of how innovation and research flow directly into practice.

Community experience and special highlight

In addition to the specialist topics, socialising also played a central role. A festive dinner with music and entertainment provided an opportunity to continue discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. The following day, the programme was rounded off with an excursion to the traditional ceramics factory in Bolesławiec (Silesia, Poland). There, the participating turkey fatteners were not only able to marvel at the famous craftsmanship, but also get creative themselves and design their own pieces.
