Mussel shells
Mussel or oyster shells are a good source of calcium for laying poultry. The calcium contained in them (approx. 38 %) is slowly soluble in the gastrointestinal tract and is therefore available for absorption into the metabolism and for egg shell formation over as long a period as possible
