Sodium chloride
Sodium chloride is also known as cattle salt and is obtained by grinding natural substances containing sodium chloride, such as rock salt, boiling salt or sea salt. Sodium chloride contains 38 % sodium and is used in animal nutrition to supplement the feed with the important quantity element sodium as needed. The sodium contents in the individual plant feeds are not sufficient to cover the requirements of various animal species (maintenance of the salt balance in the body) and therefore require targeted supplementation.
