Soy hulls

Soy hulls are a by-product of the extraction of protein and oil from the soybean. Before processing, the soybeans are hulled. The soybean (bean) hulls are characterised by a high crude fibre content(approx. 34 %) and a medium crude protein content(approx. eleven %). The crude fibre is characterised by very good fermentability in the rumen and is therefore mainly used in compound feed for ruminants(cows, cattle). But soya hulls are also used as a dietary component (dietary fibre) in compound feed for sows.
