Supplementary feed

Supplementary feeds are compound feeds that are specially produced for farmers who use their own basic feeds such as hay, silage, grain, etc. Commercially produced supplementary feeds are an important offer for the farmer whosebasic feed has nutrient deficiencies. As a rule, this mainly concerns the protein content, but also vitamins, minerals and trace elements. With the help of supplementary feeds, the farmer is then nevertheless able to feed his animals wholesome and performance-oriented feed.

An important supplementary feed is, for example, milk performance feed, which is specially designed to meet the needs of cows that are being milked.
